Welcome to the world's first Swing based Eclipse RCP framework!EclipseLogo

SwingRCP 1.1.0

SwingRCP is a platform for developing applications based on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP). It extends the capabilities of the Eclipse platform by allowing developers to use native Swing API's instead of being tied to SWT or Swing wrappers. If you enjoy Eclipse's rich set of features and don't want to have to rewrite your code in SWT, why not give SwingRCP a try. Below are a few examples of what is possible with SwingRCP.

All the demos you see below, such as the Ribbon Bar and custom skin support, are downloadable and free for use under their individual respective license agreements in their related web sites.

We also have fully functioning demos and video tutorials to help you develop your RCP applications.

If you are new to the Eclipse RCP platform, it is highly recomended that you get the great book "Eclipse Rich Client Platform: Designing, Coding, and Packaging Java™ Applications" by Jeff McAffer, Jean-Michel Lemieux and published through Addison-Wesley. It will explain how we developed a lot of the samples you see here.
